Filaments usually come in 2 diameters, 1.75mm or 2.85mm (sometimes 3mm). Your 3D printer is setup to only accept one of these diameters. If you are not sure what diameter you should purchase please check your 3D printer's manual, or contact us specifying the brand and model of your printer.
Filaments have a different printing temperature that provides optimal results. The temperatures are specified on the product page of each filament as it differs for materials. In case we have missed any of the details, you can find the printing temperatures on the manufacturer's website.
Different materials are useful for different applications. PLA can be easily printed without a heated bed and indoors. It is a plastic with minimal flex capabilities and breaks under stress. It usually prints at about 200C. ABS requires good ventilation (no inhalation of the fumes), a heated bed and a stable environment temperature (no open windows or other sources of air disturbance). It usually prints at 240C, with the heated bed at 80-100C for good adhesion. It's a solid plastic with a bit of elasticity.
All of the filaments sold on our website come with a resealable bag. When not in use, you should store your filaments in a dry place away from moisture sealed in the bag together with the desiccant bag provided with the filament.
